Our therapist have extensive pediatric knowledge in each of their disciplines. We strive to use evidence-based practice and use the most current treatment strategies available. All our pediatric therapists keep up to date by attending continuing education courses relevant to their field. Therapists work the child and family to provide the best care for their child. Our therapists communicate with physicians, orthotists, mental health counselors, and schools for collaboration of care.
Owner, Occupational Therapist
Ms. Lauren, OTR/L, is an owner of TherapyWorks 4 Kids. She attended Clemson University and graduated with a B.S. in Health Science Pre-professional Studies. She received her Master of Rehabilitation Sciences-Occupational Therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina. She specializes in children with emotional and behavioral needs. She also enjoys working with children with autism, Down syndrome, sensory processing concerns, and developmental delays. She has a passion for community integration as well. In her off time, she enjoys riding horses and spending time on the Catawba River with her dog Wylie.
Owner, Physical Therapist
Ms. Corrie, MPT, is an owner of TherapyWorks 4 Kids. She attended Saint Louis University and graduated with a B.S. in Exercise Science and a Master of Physical Therapy. Although Corrie enjoys working with children of all ages and conditions, her passion is working with infants and children with significant involvement. She is married with 2 daughters and in her free time she likes to play volleyball, swim, travel, spend time with her family and dogs, Lola & Toby.
Ms. Kelsey, OTR/L, completed her Bachelor’s degree and Master of Occupational Therapy from Quinnipiac University in Connecticut. Kelsey likes to work with a wide variety of children and especially has a passion towards working with children with sensory processing concerns and emotional and behavioral difficulties. When she isn’t working, she can be found exploring Charlotte, doing yoga, and spending time outdoors.
Occupational Therapy Assistant
Ms. Gabby, COTA/L, attended St. Andrews University for therapeutic horsemanship and received her Occupational Therapy Assistant degree at Pitt Community College in Greenville NC. She enjoys working with children who are medically complex. In her free time she likes to remodel her house and ride her horses, Cassie & Gracie. She also has 3 cats that keep her busy: Romeo, Peanut Butter, & Sweet Pea.
Occupational Therapy Assistant
Ms. Jordan, COTA/L, attended East Carolina University and received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and received her Occupational Therapy Assistant degree at Cabarrus College of Health Sciences. She enjoys working with children of all ages and diverse medical conditions. Jordan is also fluent in Spanish. In her free time she likes to snuggle her two dogs, Sadie and Jack, and try new places to eat with friends.
Ms. Melissa, DPT, received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina and went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina. She enjoys working with children with torticollis, developmental delays, orthopedic conditions and gait abnormalities. In her free time, she enjoys going to football games and traveling to the beach.
Physical Therapist Assistant
Ms. Kayla, PTA, received her Physical Therapist Assistant Degree at Olympic College in Bremerton, Washington. She enjoys working with children of all ages and various medical conditions. In her free time Kayla loves to travel, participate in culinary experiences and is a volunteer firefighter with her husband David.
Ms. Anna, M.S. CCC-SLP, attended Appalachian State University and received a B.S. in Communication Disorders and earned her Master of Speech-Language Pathology at James Madison University. Anna likes working with a diverse population of children. When she’s not working, she enjoys outdoor activities, yoga and watching movies with friends.
Ms. Staci, CCC-SLP, was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. She attended the University of Pittsburgh where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a Master of Speech-Language Pathology. She has worked in various settings and enjoys working with a diverse pediatric caseload and their families. On the evenings and weekends, she enjoys running, hiking, kayaking, and yoga, but most of her free time is spent with her two dogs, Zoe and Cooper!
Ms. Gina, CF-SLP is a Pittsburgh, PA, native. She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Speech-Language Pathology from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. She loves working with children of all ages with a variety of needs and is especially passionate toward children with autism spectrum disorder. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music and walking her dog, Buddha.
Ms. Kathleen, CCC-SLP, completed her B.S. in Biology from the College of William and Mary. She earned her Master of Science in Speech Pathology from the University of South Carolina. She loves helping children learn to communicate! When she is not at work, she is most likely taking her daughter, Mary Grace, to dance or snuggling with her dog, Delilah.
Ms. Theresa graduated from Orange Park High School (Orange Park, FL). Before moving to the Carolinas, Theresa worked as a medical transcriptionist/medical secretary for a pediatric mental health facility in Jacksonville, Florida. She has 2 amazing sons and two fur babies…Roxie and Dez. She enjoys reading, spending time with her family and friends, and going to the beach whenever possible.
Ms. Bobbie received an Associate’s degree in Medical Records from Cuyahoga Community College. She has worked for many years in the hospital and medical field in coding, transcribing, and billing. In her free time, she enjoys quilting and shopping. She also enjoys spending time with her family and two granddaughters.
Ms. April has an Associate’s degree in Medical Assisting from Hagerstown Business College. She also has a diploma as a Medical Administrative Assistant, both of which were obtained while she and her family lived in Maryland before moving to the Carolinas in the summer of 2009. When her family isn’t busy with their church’s congregational events and service projects, you can find them reading or playing with their puppies, Laurel, Sasha and Anna. Her family has recently grown to not only include her husband and two living children, but they were adopted by a cat and they began fostering a child.
Ms. Tysha graduated with an A.S. Degree in Health Information Technology from Draughons Junior College. She has experience working as a certified coder and professional biller. She also teaches medical coding and billing classes for a local career college. She is originally from Tennessee; and in her spare time she enjoys traveling, reading, shopping and spending time with family.
